GLAMARAMA 2014

STOP PROCRASTINATING AND REGISTER TODAY!

What do you mean you haven’t registered for GLAMARAMA14 yet! Even FMCA members at the March 2014 Family Reunion in Perry Georgia are talking about going to GLAMARAMA because of what they either heard or experienced. You will never get to enjoy the fabulous events planned for GLAMARAMA14, June 11-15 in Goshen Indiana, unless you register and go. What fabulous events you ask? Read on and hold back your excitement!

Seminars are often similar from rally to rally. NOT GLAMARAMA14. For the first time at any FMCA area rally the RV Doctor, Gary Bunzar will be a featured presenter conducting seminars at an area rally. Gary will offer seminars from Wednesday afternoon, June 11 through Saturday, June 14. And get this, you can be a part of a freewheeling question and answer session the RV Doctor will lead to get answers to those really difficult issues you’ve been working on. That is in addition to the many advanced technical seminars the many vendors provide.

Not to be outdone with RV technical matters we are especially excited to have Wilma Jean Alexander presenting her cooking/baking seminar. Those who want to create the most delicious meals using the most efficient methods will want to get a seat toward the front. I also understand all foods prepared must be eaten. Bring napkins and a bibb.

Are there tours? Well, of course there are tours. Jayco has put together a great tour of their RV facility. Jayco also worked with Spartan to have a chassis there so that a Spartan representative can explain and answer questions about their products. That’s not all. Dometic, a company that traditionally does not provide tours, has arranged with GLAMA to give attendees a firsthand look at their great products in production. Both touring opportunities are being offered multiple times during the rally. Transportation will be provided as parking facilities at both sites are not sufficient for tour groups. You won’t want to miss these tour opportunities. Please note: these tours are not handicapped accessible.

You may already know about the golf outing which will be held early Friday morning, June 13. Well, Dane Bailey, our Golf Outing Chair negotiated a reduction in price. Now the cost, to be paid at the golf course, is only $25 and you get a cart! Now, don’t go getting too sideways if you already registered and paid the $31 stated fee. When you turn in your locator card at registration you will be handed a check for $6 to keep everything on the up-and-up. Gary only asks that if you are going to golf at the outing please, before Thursday, June 12, either email him at thesingingauctioneer@msn.com or text <260-704-0518> to provide him your name and an email address.

Did someone say crafts? You won’t believe the lineup Sharon Eversmann has arranged to keep the crafters so busy they’ll be in crafting heaven the whole rally. There are eleven offerings plus Sharon is looking for space for more! How about crafts for kids. Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings have each been scheduled with 2 ½ hours of crafts for school aged children. That is exciting to think that we are creating reasons for our children and grandchildren to have the RV life planted in their memories. For more details about the craft classes including supplies needed and costs please select the Craft Classes link to the right.

Not enough to get your attention? How about a book exchange. The more paperback books you bring to turn in the more you can select during the exchange. Marcia Atkinson and Don Eversmann have put together a great process that will enhance your mobile library while cleaning out those that already brought you to tears, made you laugh or added to your tool belt of knowledge.

So, you’ve read this entire article and you’re still not registered! What are you waiting for? The registration link is to the right.gla_newsletter Feb 2014
