BURTON APPLE BUTTER FESTIVAL

WELCOME TO A FALL FESTIVAL FILLED WITH FUN, FROLIC, AND FESTIVE ACTIVITIES IN BURTON, OHIO

Here’s what’s on the agenda :

THURS : Arrival of coaches. Parking will be assisted by Dick and Don.

4 :00: Wine and cheese party in the lounge of the clubhouse . Cheese and snacks will be served and some kinds of wine, but please bring a favorite bottle to add to the festivities if you will.

5 :00: Line up for car pool to Mary Yoder’s Amish Restaurant in Middlefield for dinner of your own choice from the menu. Delicious reasonable home cooking!

7:00 – 8:00: MUSICAL BINGO in the clubhouse with prizes to win. All old favorite songs.

FRI.: 9:30 a.m. : Line up for car pool to MIDDLEFIELD CHEESE to learn how cheese is made and taste some varieties of cheeses available for purchase if you wish along with other Amish delicacies .

10:30 a .m. Arrival at White House Chocolate and Candy Kitchen to watch yummy chocolate candy of all kinds being made and then to sample some. in the store and purchase if you wish.

12:00 p.m. Ladies join Pat and Debbie to car pool to QUINTEALIA’S TEA PARLOR for lunch from The menu and high tea. This is a beautiful old-fashioned crystal tearoom with a story behind it. Wonderful soups, quiche,delicate sandwiches and desserts “to die for”. You’ll love it!

Gentlemen : Join Dick and Don for lunch at a nearby country cafe after dropping the ladies off. Pick up ladies at 1:30 p.m. or when notified by cell phone call to Dick that they are ready.

1:30 p.m. until 5 :00 p.m. Time on your own to nap, play outdoor games set up. or explore the countryside (see your goody bags for interesting destinations) .

5 :00 p.m.: Be prompt for a home-cooked Roast Beef dinner, potatoes, vegetables,salads, Breads/butter, desserts, and beverages, in the clubhouse, prepared by your rally crew.

6:00-7:00 p.m. Entertainment by singer/guitarist FRED BARRINGER and his musical backup. Some audience participation expected.

Evening on your own or bonfire in a metal container only in designated sandy area . See Dick.

SAT.: 8:00 – 9:00: Coffee and Donuts and other breakfast breads and juice. Then you are on your own to visit the Burton Apple Butter Festival located on the Burton Historical Grounds at the SE corner of the Square and the many vendors around the square, as well as the log cabin, which may have an ox roast on Saturday for lunch.

Don’t miss apple butter making on the Festival grounds (admission: $7:00 includes parking.) Also visit the museum,and old working demo buildings in the Festival. Buy apples, apple butter, Amish bakery, candles and many other demonstrated merchandise you don’t see at other festivals.

SAT. (continued) : 4:30 p.m. Be back at the campground to car pool for dinner to the Historical WELCHFIELD INN in our private room and select your favorite meal from the delicious entrees from the menu. (very reasonable).

Return to the campground by 7:00 p.m. for our Monte Carlo night featuring Texas Hold’em, ($5 buy in ), Blackjack(chips available), Card Bingo, or an assortment of other games available on the tables.

Snacks and some non-alcoholic beverages available . Otherwise, bring your own.

SUN.: 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Coffee and donuts in the clubhouse, followed by chapter meeting , door prizes and 50/50 raffle.

HOPE YOU WILL HAVE FUN AT OUR LAST MOTORHOME RALLY OF THE SEASON, AND HAVE A SAFE TRIP HOME, AND A WONDERFUL FUN-FILLED WINTER WHEREVER YOU ARE
